RESEARCH FELLOW
We are seeking to recruit a Research Fellow who will contribute to the technical work being carried out in PRISM2. It is expected that the successful applicant will have an excellent track record in the computer-based modelling of manufacturing processes, for example welding, forming, heat treatment and casting, with emphasis on the analysis of high . temperature materials such as nickel based superalloys and titanium alloys as processing proceeds. The posts will be based in the School of Metallurgy and Materials at Birmingham, within the PRISM2 group. They will involve collaboration with Rolls-Royce, the ESI Group an TIMET. Therefore, the ability to interact with external organisations is a prerequisite for this position. The post is available from 1st July 2011 for a period of 21 months.. Pension: No details held.
