Community Development Worker

The purpose of Army Welfare Service Community Support, is to provide learning opportunities, programmes, activities and experiences for military personnel and their families. Such programmes will be social, recreational, educational and responsive to local need. They should also be locally accessible, affordable and of good quality. The person appointed will. work with full-time colleagues to ensure the effective delivery of this provision. During periods of deployment, Community Development Workers help to maintain a sense of stability and normality within our communities whilst at the same time helping family members understand and cope, with the roller coaster of mixed emotions.
