A fantastic opportunity exists for a proven data analyst to relocate to Italy and become a key part of the team within this global blue chip client’s Rome based centre. In the very first instance candidates must be fluent in Italian and support 3 to 5 years programming experience in BASE and STAT modules of SAS with a proven understanding of macros and associated procedures used to analyse large volumes of transactional data. Candidates must also be able to operate in both a Windows and UNIX (preferably AIX) environments, which includes knowledge of shell (KSH) scripting and other operational tools for daily performance of duties. Additionally, candidates must be fluent in the use of SQL in order to acquire information from Oracle or other repositories of information. Your application must demonstrate a proven track record in financial/marketing based business intelligence, drawing actionable insights through the use of various statistical methods with the ability to communicate results to senior management and participate in face-to-face client initiatives. Furthermore you should be well familiar with the use of Microsoft office tools (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint and others) as there will be an expectation for you to inform clients (internal and external) of results and the be able to formulate recommendations to improve bottom-line return on investment. This 12 month contract will also present you with the opportunity to travel to the USA as part of your initial training. An immediate start is required so passports must be current and valid.
