Role Objective:The individual will work closely with the Front Office and senior management team to manage the day-to-day running of the Middle Office. This is an opportunity not only to get into the HF industry but to do so in a role that will be central to the strategic development of the firm.Role responsibilities: Manage all aspects of Middle Office activities associated with all traded instruments and each fund within the business. Working directly with the COO, duties will include but not be restricted to;Providing daily P&L, Risk and position reports to the Front Office.Developing model calibration and pricing models.Producing and maintaining valuation policies for each fund.Managing NAV; cash receipts and payments; margin / collateral balances and payments. Ensure the safe and complete transmission of all deals.Instruct the Prime Brokers as required to ensure settlement of trades; Intervene in/ assist settlement matters as required.Candidate Profile:Undergraduate and/ or post-graduate degree in a relevant numerate subject.Experience gained in Investment Management or a Hedge Fund preferred. Working knowledge of derivative financial products and relevant traded markets. Practical exposure to the pricing of financial products, including pricing and modeling.Accounting understanding to cover P/I reports, attribution reports, position reports fully.
