Role Purpose: Our offshore wind team is world-leading and provides project management support and consultancy services to stakeholders at all stages of an offshore wind project. On a global basis the offshore wind sector is experiencing rapid market growth and rising customer demand for a variety technical services and to meet this demand, the Group is setting up a new team (The Offshore Wind Practice) to manage and coordinate our offshore wind portfolio and internal resources. The main purpose of this role is to coordinate interdisciplinary projects within the Offshore Wind Practise.
Working as a direct report to the Head of the OWP the role requires liaison with all regional entities and business practices in the Group one of the key tasks will be to develop and co-ordinate project proposals, identify and allocate appropriate in-house resources, monitor and track the progress of projects against a range of measures. The role will also involve some inportant Client liaison work and will require the appointee to have excellent interpersonal skills as well a deep understanding of the offshore wind business and a good network of contacts. Holding an engineering degree will enable you to support and co-öordinate a range of technical projects. Your previous knowledge of the (offshore) wind business will enable you to play a key role to ensure projects are being delivered in a timely and efficient manner.
Responsibilities: Proposal support/coordination
- Working with delivery units within the Group and the client to clarify project scope
- Develop the proposal plan with delivery units
- Support price calculations, intercompany transfer pricing
- Support lead delivery unit in proposal development, establish required contacts with other participating delivery units
- Identify our strongest and best experienced teams across the whole Group to give us maximun impact in the market in securing new work
- Actively identify cross-selling opportunities
