JOB DUTIES : The post holder will be based in one of the Council's seven Waste Recycling Centres. The Waste Recycling Centres are licensed waste management facilities and must operate in accordance with licensing conditions stipulated by the NI Environment Agency including being manned at all times whilst open. The post holder will be required to work unsupervised for the majority of the hours of operation and must demonstrate good customer care, awareness and relations with site users. The post holder will be responsible to the Waste Services Manager / Waste Management Officer for the day-to-day operation of the Council's Waste Recycling Centre. The post requires the appointed person as key-holder to open and close the site, assist and direct the public using the site, maintain the site in a clean and tidy condition, and to ensure that the Centre complies at all times with the conditions set out in the Waste Management Licence and Operational Plan.
