Our client is the TV channels division of a major US Studio. This role is with their TV Channels division – and with their well-known and very popular childrens’ channel. As Marketing Supervisor, you’ll be involved with all marketing activities for the Central and Eastern European, S African, Turkish and Middle Eastern channels encompassing: Programming and ratings support consumer and trade events, PR special projects website, and trade - distribution and ad sales - support. You will also participate in: Developing and implementing communications strategies / plans locally. Maintaining relationships with partners Synergy activity with other divisions of the company. The CLIENT Our client is the TV channels division of a major US Studio, with their UK base in West London. There is currently a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Compliance Manager for the CEE channels to join the company, reporting into the Executive Director, with two direct reports. The ROLE The primary focus of this position will be to manage all compliance issues within the children’s series content (acquired and original) and the advertising, marketing and sponsoring for the channels. Key responsibilities include: •The day to day management of two direct reports as well as contractors and freelancers. •Assessing programming premises, scripts, rough cuts and pilots; submitting notes to creative execs or PDs. •Working closely with 3rd party dubbing and production to ensure that reversioned adaptations for Channel and Web are in line wth our client’s S&P and do not offend local audiences. •Liaison with Legal to make sure that commercials respect local regulations. •Some travelling may be required. The CANDIDATE The successful candidate will have worked at Senior Management level within standards and practices in a TV or Film production environment. The following skills are also crucial: •Past experience managing and mentoring a team. •Experience with or exposure to network compliance / standards and practices •Extensive knowledge of kid’s TV and Ofcom regulations. •Previous experience with or exposure to the European / CEE markets. •Proficiency in the following: Filemaker Pro and MS Office. •A 2nd language would be very beneficial.
